2015 Sucks

When Back to the Future came out in 1985, it teased the future.  30 years.  What would it be like?  Would there be flying cars?  3D movies?  Fax machines?

Now that it’s here — I have to say 2015 sucks.  I lost my best friend Emma in February, then my best friend in Dallas in June.  Along the way, I’ve lost two aunts and now today, the uncle I was closest with.  I have to admit, part of me has felt I’ve been running emotionally.  I wish I knew how to switch gears from this feeling.  The only thing I can do is chalk 2015 as an absolutely terrible year that I’m happy to put behind me.

Journey of the Car Battery

IMG_1014So after walking a hundred miles at Comic Con Saturday and Sunday, I find out my car won’t start Monday morning.  I asked the contractor next door if he could jump me.  Nothing.  So with no other transportation, I walked to Wal-Mart, in the rain.  I wasn’t prepared for just how heavy a car battery was so I asked a Wal-Mart manager if I could borrow one of their carts.  They said ok but bring it back.  So again in the pouring rain, I walked the 2.5 miles back to my house.
